Garage Door Monthly Maintenance List

Using a level, check both tracks are straight up and down 90º. If you find its not straight loosen the lag bolts that hold the track to the wall. Clean the exterior of the garage door with a mild detergent and sponge or brush. An exposed wood should be sealed or painted to prevent rot.
Clean your weather stripping, rubber/vinyl or foam edge around your garage door frame and also clean the vinyl bottom edge of the door. Once every other month lubricate the stripping with silicone-based product to keep it pliable.
